Love this! > Alluminare

This is awesome... Alluminare is a site that lets you be the designer (with a little help of some great pre-designed templates).

You can choose to have your design on wallpaper, lampshades, fabric and cushions - so everything co-ordinates beautifully and it's custom designed!

It work like this:

Choose the item you'd like to design - I chose wallpaper for this exercise.

The next screen let's you purchase that product but click 'change' to get to the custom design screen.

Now choose your new style of design on the left from a great range - modern, paisely, stripes etc.

Within each category are further choices of individual designs (middle of the page). You can keep changing them until you find what you're looking for so just have fun.

Play around with your colour palette - I went a bit crazy!

Every colour in the design is variable and the choices are neatly categorised into easy colour groupings like Blues, Neutrals, Grays etc.

Scale your design up or down if necessary and order your new wallpaper!

This is also a great tool to play around with if you're experimenting with colour palettes.

Just In > ZARA to open in South Africa

Following years of speculation, it is confirmed Zara plans to open a store in South Africa in the second half of 2011.

Contrary to rumours that the location of the first Zara store in South Africa will be in Sandton City, Inditex spokesman, Raúl Estradera Vázquez, says the location is as yet not confirmed.

"The election of South Africa as a future market for Inditex is based on opportunities for growth," says Vázquez, " we think we can have this in South Africa, where there is a customer profile - people sensitive to fashion trends - that fits with Zara's offer."

He continued to say Zara will carry a collection designed for the Southern Hemisphere that is in line with offerings in Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.

The opening in South Africa is part of a massive global roll-out for the Spanish-owned company. Early 2010, Deputy Chairman and CEO, Mr Pablo Isla, announced Iniditex had plans to increase its global footprint by between 8% and 10% a year through 2012, and to be present in more than 80 countries by that date. In May last year, a store was opened in Delhi, India with a second planned for Mumbai.

At the start of this year, current Chairman and founder of Inditex, Amancio Ortega, announced he would be stepping down and suggested Mr Isla take his place.

love this! > PomLove

I found these whimsical poms over at PomLove on Etsy. Aren't they great?

They come in all different sizes, even a hanging mobile version. They make the perfect wedding decor and guests can take one home to keep! For that special occasion be sure to choose the large kit of 50 assorted poms - you can customise all the colours too so they will be just right.

I think a couple would look great in my office...
